Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Harboring Concurrent EGFR Genomic Alterations: A Systematic Review and Critical Appraisal of the Double Dilemma

چکیده
The molecular pathways which promote lung cancer cell features have been broadly explored, leading to significant improvement in prognostic and diagnostic strategies. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) dramatically altered the treatment approach for patients with metastatic non-small (NSCLC). Latest investigations by using next-generation sequencing (NGS) shown that other oncogenic driver mutations, believed mutually exclusive decades, could coexist EGFR-mutated NSCLC patients. However, exact clinical pathological role of concomitant genomic aberrations needs be investigated. In this systematic review, we aimed summarize recent data on concurrent alterations, specifically evaluating characteristics, significance, their potential impact approach.

A review of the role of dopamine receptors and novel therapeutic strategies in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
Lung cancer is a very aggressive and most deadly cancer in both men and women. Lung cancer is divided into two types of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NSCLC is divided into 3 subgroups: adenocarcinoma (AC), squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) and large cell carcinoma (LCC). Dopamine is involved in controlling motions, cognition, emotions, memory and reward mech...
متن کاملPost-Progression Survival after EGFR-TKI for Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Harboring EGFR Mutations
BACKGROUND Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients that harbor epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations benefit from receiving an EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI); however, post-progression survival (PPS) after EGFR-TKI treatment has not been sufficiently studied. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data from stage IV or recurrent NSCLC patients who harbored EGFR...

BACKGROUND Afatinib, an irreversible ErbB family blocker, is approved for treatment of patients with previously untreated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring activating epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations. Efficacy of afatinib in EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor-naïve (TKI-naïve) patients with uncommon EGFR mutations (other than exon 19 deletions or exon 21 point mutations)...

متن کاملMiR-96 induced non-small-cell lung cancer progression through competing endogenous RNA network and affecting EGFR signaling pathway
Objective(s): Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has become a serious global health problem in the 21st century, and tumor proliferation and metastasis are the leading causes of death in patients with lung cancer. The present study aimed to verify the function of miR-96 and miR-96 in relation to competing with endogenous RNA regulatory network in NSCLC progression inc...
